In July of 2005, Julie Christiansen-Comeaux left New Orleans (and her family, temporarily) to join her mother Maggie here, at her company Christiansen Insurance Network, Inc. One month later, Hurricane Katrina hit, but fortunately Julie’s family weathered the storm and they were soon reunited in Reno.
Today Christiansen Insurance Network, Inc. serves our community with individual and group medical, dental, vision, life, long term care and disability policies as well as other employee benefits such as 401K plans. The company may be new to the chamber, but Christiansen Insurance has been active in the local community since 1989 when the business opened its doors.
Julie understands that consumers have countless choices when it comes to insurance.
“We stand out because of the personal attention we give to our clients, the personal experience that allows us to relate to people’s needs and the personal reputation that our family has earned over the years for delivering the quality of service that is true to who we are,” she says.
Julie and Maggie also make it a priority to stay on top of current issues concerning consumers the most, such as affordable coverage and constantly changing legislation.
“We know people are confused and uncertain right now with all the legislative changes in the insurance industry, we answer their concerns immediately and work until everyone is satisfied with their choices and decisions.”
Outside of business, the entire family is passionate about bike riding and regularly participates in the Livestrong Challenge Series.
“As a cancer survivor, I believe we’ve all been touched by cancer, family and friends alike one way or another. Returning the support I received to other cancer patients and survivors is so rewarding and I believe it helps everyone continue to fight,” says Julie.
